Catch up vaccination, why ?

Updated: Feb 16, 2019

If your child had vaccinations in other countries, it can be different from our national immunisation program in Australia. By checking overseas vaccinations and comparing to our national program we can make sure that our child has had all vaccines needed.

"People up to 19 years old, refugees and other humanitarian entrants of any age can get NIP Schedule vaccines for free". Please click here to read more about it.

You need to make a long appointment with your GP first. We need to check immunisation records and to make sure there is no harm to your child if he/she gets vaccinated ( Vaccination contraindications).

In next few days we inform you of what vaccines needed or in some cases no need for further vaccination. You can obtain a letter from your GP to present to school or Centelink if needed.

In that letter we state that your child had catch up vaccinations and vaccination is up to date.

If you ignore catch up vaccinations your child may not enjoy the same level of protection provided by national immunisation program in Australia.

To book your appointment please call (03)98484416 for Doncaster ,(03)94823881 forNorthcote (after 25th Feb 2019) and (07)33518900 for Arana Hills.

Please share this post to increase awareness of catch up vaccinations.
